This Dream’s On Me

What do you dream about? I like dreaming, ‘cause dreaming can make you mine… I’ve read that it’s common to dream of people you are thinking of right before you go to sleep. I don’t know if that’s true. I always remember my dreams in vivid detail and wake up liking the person I dreamed of a lot more, sometimes too much, or a lot less, depending on their behavior in the dream. And, I never really get over this so, if one day I just don’t like you anymore, or I try to hold your hand when we don’t have that kind of relationship, well, I’m sorry, but this is probably why. Last night, I didn’t like my dream. I found it unsettling. It was the first dream I’ve had of my mom since she died. People kept asking me if I’d dreamed of her, recounting comforting dreams of their loved ones appearing to say they were fine and other cool stuff. And, really, no one wants to hear about your dreams, anyway. Nope. I always dread when someone says, “I had the weirdest dream last night…” because I know that they’re gonna tell me about it. But, in mine, my mom and I were on one of our adventures and she called from her hotel room and I didn’t pick up. I spent the rest of the dream searching everywhere but never found her. I woke up in the middle of the night and decided not to go back to sleep, lest I continue the endless search.. I’ll always miss dreaming my dreams with you…. Being from Louisiana, sometimes I wonder if dreams have meanings or carry messages. Half the people you ask say no and the other half say yes. Isn’t it always this way? Once, I read half of a book on dream analysis. It was way out there, with theories like, if you have a dream about a cow, you are probably feeling unappreciated…. I like cows a lot and it’s always good to announce that you feel unappreciated. Then, if someone doesn’t respond appropriately by giving you gifts and raises and stuff, you can dream about it and wake up not liking them anymore, no analysis needed. Give it a try tonight. Think of someone you wanna dream about. And, let me know if it works; just not in detail, lol! Whenever I want you all, I have to do is dream… dream ,dream, dream……
